Dialog semiconductor, a provider of highly integrated power management, audio, AC/DC power conversion, charging and bluetooth low power technologies, today announced the launch of its latest configurable mixed signal IC(CMIC) product, the SLG51000, to provide industry-leading performance for low voltage differential linear (LDO) voltage regulators.Compared to any programmable multichannel LDO on the market, the SLG51000 has the highest power rejection ratio (PSRR) and lowest output voltage noise, making it an ideal power source for high-end cameras and sensor systems.

When designing advanced sensor systems or high-end camera modules, system power designers face strict noise limits.Consumers demand the highest quality images from smartphones, digital cameras or other smart imaging devices. The SLG51000 exceeds the power performance requirements for such applications compared to existing solutions on the market. The output voltage noise of existing solutions on the market is significantly higher, while the PSRR is relatively low, especially at high frequencies.

"Today's launch of the SLG51000 is a testament to our successful CMIC design capabilities following the acquisition of Silego Technology," said John McDonald, vice President of marketing for Dialog semiconductor's configurable mixed signal business. The CMIC's advanced capabilities combine Dialog's superior power management design expertise with Silego's proven leading CMIC platform to provide product flexibility, fast support, and the ultimate GreenPAK design software platform."" the SLG51000 is one of the key new products in our strategy to accelerate business growth.

The SLG51000's leading technical specifications place it at the forefront of imaging and sensor power solutions. It provides an industry-leading 73dB power rejection ratio (PSRR) @1mhz with a minimum output voltage noise of 10 V(RMS).Each of the seven channels of the LDO voltage regulator provides an output current capacity of 475mA to 800mA and A static current of less than 1 A across the entire integrated circuit (IC) during shut-off.This small size integrated power solution saves circuit board space, while configurable output voltage Settings, timing, and resources meet a variety of project requirements, reducing the time for engineers to redesign, purchase components, and certify designs.

With SLG51000, engineers can create a variety of functional and control logic for applications, such as custom power timing, fault signals, input conditioning, and gluing logic. All of these features can be graphically configured through the IC's unique gui-based development software, making it easy to adopt SLG51000 in product development.

"As camera performance becomes one of the key differentiating factors for high-end smartphones, device manufacturers need to provide absolute best image quality through image sensors in increasingly compact devices and therefore face stricter noise restrictions," McDonald concluded."The SLG51000 is a leader in meeting noise limits and delivering the best LDO performance on the market for imaging and sensor applications.
